What the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass covers
- Kansai to Hiroshima and Miyajima, with Okayama, Takamatsu, Tottori, Kinosaki Onsen and Amanohashidate.
- Shinkansen: Sanyo Shinkansen, Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima.
- Not valid on the Sanyo Shinkansen Hiroshima to Hakata, the Tokaido or the Kyushu Shinkansen.
- Limited express trains: Haruka, Kuroshio, Konotori, Kinosaki.
- Other railways included: JR West Miyajima Ferry (the 100 yen Miyajima visitor tax is paid separately); Kyoto Tango Railway; Wakayama Electric Railway; West JR Bus and JR Bus Chugoku (Hiroshima Meipuru~pu and local buses).
- Reserved seats in ordinary cars, unlimited times (from the 7th booking at a ticket office).

How the sums are made
Single fares are station prices for one person, fare plus limited express charge for an ordinary reserved seat, read for Tuesday 20 October 2026 (regular season), from 10:00 unless noted. Legs are separate tickets; a through ticket over the same route can cost less. Each trip is set against the pass length that gives every train its own day, up to the longest pass on sale. Fares that could not be read are left out, so those totals are "at least". The calculator link opens the trip with two nights in each city; change them to fit.
