Osaka Amazing Pass: is it worth it?
The Osaka Amazing Pass costs ¥3,500 for one day and ¥5,000 for two[1][2][3][4], for Osaka Metro, the city buses and free entry, once each, to the 30 sights listed below[5]; the 2026 edition is sold until 31 March 2027[3]. It pays when the sights you visit and your rides add up to more than the pass: Umeda Sky Building Kuchu-Teien Observatory ¥2,000[6], Tsutenkaku Tower ¥1,500[7] and Osaka Castle Museum ¥1,200[8] come to ¥4,700, plus ¥820 for a weekday metro and bus day ticket[9][10], against ¥3,500 for the pass. Without the pass, each sight is its adult admission and each day's travel is the cheaper of single rides at ¥240 (the fare for 3 to 7 km)[38] and the Enjoy Eco Card day ticket[9][10]. Each sight counts once, as the pass allows[5]. Prices are adult prices from each sight's own site where it could be read, otherwise the pass issuer's figure. Other currencies are approximate, at the European Central Bank rate[39].

Digital ticket only: a QR code on the buyer's own smartphone through the Surutto QRtto web service. No physical card.[3][42] The official store sells it online only[35]. Reseller prices change with their offers; read on 28 October 2026.

- Osaka City Bus: all routes except the bus to IKEA Tsuruhama and other routes set by Osaka City Bus rules[4]
- Hankyu: Osaka Umeda to Kanzakigawa, Mikuni and Aikawa; Shimo-shinjo to Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome[4]
- Hanshin: Osaka Umeda to Amagasaki; Osaka Namba to Amagasaki[4]
- Nankai: Namba to Nakamozu; Namba to Sakai[4]
- Keihan: Yodoyabashi to Sembayashi; Nakanoshima to Temmabashi[4]
- Kintetsu: Osaka Namba to Imazato; Osaka Abenobashi to Yada[4]
Not covered
- Reserved-seat limited express charges on Kintetsu, Nankai, Keihan and Hankyu[2][3]
- Airport Limousine buses[2][3]
- Travel beyond the listed sections (the extra fare is paid separately)[3][35]
- Special exhibitions at museums (only the regular or collection exhibition is covered where stated)[3][5]
- JR lines (not listed among the participating lines)[2][4]
Travel without the pass
Osaka Metro single fares are ¥190 (up to 3 km), ¥240 (over 3 km, up to 7 km), ¥290 (over 7 km, up to 13 km), ¥340 (over 13 km, up to 19 km), ¥390 (over 19 km)[38][43]; the city bus is ¥210 anywhere[36].
